Past Projects

LONDON ROAD, NORBURY LB CROYDON

Information

This proposal involved the development of a 13,000 sq.ft. retail unit on the ground floor (occupied by Lidl) with sixteen s/c residential units above on a former industrial site in Norbury Town Centre, LB Croydon. Among the many constraints and challenges that had to be overcome with this project were not only the site's planning designation for employment/industrial use but also the fact that the site was in multi-ownership and occupancy, with varying types of tenancies. Additionally, a significant level of ground contamination was also found to be present due to the site's historic use for the repair and maintenance of vehicles, and which also had to be dealt with during the redevelopment process.
